Public Services students clean up the community

In a laudable mass volunteering effort, Gloucestershire College’s Uniformed Public Services students have successfully completed a 1.5-mile long litter pick along the canal between the College’s Gloucester Campus and Hempsted Bridge.

Mitcheldean students mark move to Five Acres

Following Gloucestershire College’s recent announcement about the relocation of its Construction and Building Services provision from its Mitcheldean site to the Royal Forest of Dean Campus in Five Acres, a group of plumbing students have marked their enthusiasm for the move by creating and gifting bespoke garden furniture set to the Five Acres Art Department.

Students make waves with tidal research project in Italy

Last month a group of Gloucestershire College students joined their peers from nine European countries on a trip to Nova Siri in Southern Italy, as part of the Comenius project S.A.R.A.H, which promotes sciences and exchanges between schools and colleges across Europe through universal and contemporary issues.

Catering students cook up a storm at Chelsea Brasserie

The first group of Gloucestershire College’s Catering and Hospitality students has now successfully completed its five-week work experience placement at Chelsea Bar and Brasserie in Cheltenham, as part of the College’s vocational training partnership with the popular restaurant.

GC receives breakfast club boost from Kellogg’s

Gloucestershire College has received a £400 grant from cereal maker Kellogg’s after completing an innovative online breakfast club training programme, which has been developed by Northumbria University.

Graphic Design students launch Art in the Park Gloucester
