Business-minded Ben aiming for career in accountancy

A talented Business Administration apprentice from Gloucestershire College is on the road to rewarding career in accounting. 20-year-old Ben Jones is currently studying for his Level 2 Intermediate Business and Administration Apprenticeship, whilst working as a Trainee Accountant for Brothertons Accountants in Gloucester.

‘Unchained’ to inspire and educate young music fans

Gloucestershire College’s ambitious Level 3 Music students, Blacklisted Promotions, have won a £530 grant from Make Music Gloucestershire to run a workshop and gig that educates, inspires and expands Year 10 students’ learning opportunities – entitled ‘Unchained’.

Gloucestershire College teams up with Chelsea Bar & Brasserie

Today marks the anticipated launch of Gloucestershire College’s vocational training collaboration with Chelsea Bar & Brasserie in Cheltenham. The newly formed partnership is the first of its kind for both the College and the Brasserie Group, and reinforces the Catering School’s commitment to ensuring its students leave Gloucestershire College fully prepared for the world of work.

Sixth Form students cotton on to the environment

Construction and Building Services provision to relocate to Five Acres

Gloucestershire College has officially announced that it will be relocating its Construction and Building Services provision from a rented unit at the Vantage Point Business Village in Mitcheldean to its Royal Forest of Dean Campus in Five Acres, and its Motor Vehicle provision to Gloucester Campus at Gloucester Docks, this summer.

Construction students from Gloucestershire College’s Mitcheldean Campus have started building a human sundial at the main Royal Forest of Dean Campus, as part of the Comenius project, SARAH.

Chefs on Tour awarded grant for educational roadshows

Gloucestershire College’s innovative Chefs on Tour – Cheltenham project has been awarded a £5,000 grant by Cheltenham Borough Council to deliver a series of educational roadshows inspiring young people to get involved in cooking and eat healthily.
