Gloucestershire College Higher Awards Ceremony 2014

Gloucestershire College celebrated the achievements of over 400 higher education students in the grand setting of Gloucester Cathedral at its 24th Higher Awards Ceremony. 103 students graduated in person across 23 higher education subjects, with Guest of Honour Suzanne Hall-Gibbins, from Circle2Success, speaking at the occasion.

Students spread Christmas cheer to disadvantaged children

Gloucestershire College’s Foundation Studies students are spreading a little Christmas cheer this season by raising funds for the County Community Project’s annual Hamper Scamper and donating £420 worth of presents to disadvantaged children, young people, families and vulnerable adults.

Age of the Apprentice campaign launched with the Gloucestershire Echo

Gloucestershire College is thrilled to be the lead sponsor for the Gloucestershire Echo and Gloucester Citizen’s 2015 Age of the Apprentice campaign, promoting the value of apprenticeships to employers and young people across the county.

Gloucestershire College goes BIG against bullying

Gloucestershire College has received an early Christmas present in the form of the BIG Award for excellence in bullying intervention, which proves just how serious the College takes the issues of bullying and inclusion.

Enterprising students win seed investment from Steria

Gloucestershire College joined forces with Steria and Gloucestershire County Council to host a Dragons’ Den-style competition at its Gloucester Campus on Wednesday 17 December, with the provider of end-to-end IT-enabled business services awarding seed investment of £1,500 to the two winning teams.

Short courses for DIY fans launching at Gloucestershire College

In response to customer demand, Gloucestershire College is launching GC DIY in the New Year, aimed at DIY enthusiasts with little or no experience. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to tile the bathroom or even fit your own kitchen, there are 11 courses on offer; each delivered over five days in March 2015 – with weekday and weekend options available.

An exciting range of recreational courses has been launched in Gloucestershire College’s new Part-time and Professional Course Guide, ranging from music and media to fashion, catering and more.

All Gloucestershire College sites are shut from 3.30pm on 23rd December and will reopen at 8.30am on Monday 5th January.
