A Level results 2013 - Gloucestershire College - Cheltenham and Royal Forest of Dean Campus

Beth McDuff, 19 from Tewkesbury (Cheltenham Campus)Students studying at the Gloucestershire College Cheltenham and Royal Forest of Dean Campuses were celebrating this summer after achieving excellent results. The College achieved an A Level pass rate of 98.5% overall, with a 100% pass rate for the second year running at the Royal Forest of Dean Campus.

28 of the 32 A Level subjects on offer at the College achieved an 100% pass rate; 12 of which achieved an 100% pass rate at A-C, including Accounting, Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, ICT, Italian and World Development.

Simon Hickman, 18, a former Chepstow Comprehensive student, studied hard to achieve two A*s in History and Government and Politics, and one A in Religious Studies. Simon’s fantastic grades have now secured him a coveted place to read History at the University of Cambridge. 

Lynne Craig, Vice Principal at the College and Site Principal at the RFD Campus said: “Congratulations to all of our students who have picked up their AS and A Level results. I am delighted to have heard so many student success stories, with many of our students securing their first choice university places across the country, including Cambridge University.

"I am also encouraged to hear that others have secured challenging higher apprenticeships in the local area, and look forward to welcoming some of our A Level graduates back to study higher level vocational courses with us in the future.”
