Coronavirus Guidance: Wellbeing and Support for Students, Staff and Parents
It’s really important you look after your wellbeing and we’re here to help. Our support and wellbeing team have provided some advice and top-tips for staying well and managing anxiety and social isolation during this difficult period.
Imagine looking at a housing estate or hospital and being able to say “I helped build that”!
The construction industry needs skilled people who understand about sustainable building practices and the latest technology. They also want people who’ve developed traditional skills such as bricklaying and plastering. Our construction training programmes will make you ready for work.
You could train towards becoming a builder, architect or site foreman for construction projects ranging from housing to travel infrastructure.
Here at Gloucestershire College, we are proud of our students’ work. It is not only showcased on the walls across our campuses, but also on our website. Below you will find a selection of projects and work from our talented Construction students.
Here at Gloucestershire College, we know that excellent teaching is key to learning, but we also believe brilliant facilities make learning so much easier.
Our on-site construction sites facilitate the learning of all building trades, from brickwork to masonry. Students have access to spaces where they can learn their trade from industry leaders.
Across several of our campuses we have carpentry facilities in which our students can learn to work with materials to create everything from roofs and doors to fine furniture and home wares.
Plumbing and Electrical
Alongside our ‘Construction Street’ facilities, we have areas that are primed and ready to learn trades such as plumbing and electrical. In real-life ‘home’ sections our students can safely practice these complex trades, under our expert supervision.
