Gloucestershire College is committed to support learning opportunities in our community. We frequently work in partnership with organisations who have direct contact with local people for example family centres, primary schools, libraries and drop in centres. This means we can develop courses to suit each group and our priorities will be to encourage employability or volunteering skills, health and wellbeing, literacy, numeracy and English.
If you would like to find out what’s on in your neighbourhood or are a potential partner please give our Community Department a call on 01242 532015.
Another priority for us is to support development of the primary skills needed to help people find employment. Our successful Pre/Employability Programme which includes; Confidence Wellbeing and Resilience, and Computer Confidence for Work has been expanded this year with the new Introduction to Working in the Care Sector; English and Maths Tasters, and Excel and Powerpoint Workshops. Fee waivers will apply if you are in receipt of certain state benefits.
In addition we offer a range of recreational courses for adults (over 19) with learning differences; these courses are all prefixed with “ALDD”.
