    Hospitality is one of the fastest growing industries, providing a wide range of job opportunities such as chefs, housekeepers, waiting staff, bar staff, bakers, kitchen porters and many more. The training involved could include professional cookery, food and drink service or hospitality supervision. Working safely with regard to colleagues and customers and dealing with customers and documentation. Example job roles for an advanced apprentice include: *Head Housekeeper *Head of Reception *Front of House Manager *Duty/Hotel Supervisor/Manager *Regional Supervisor in a restaurant or pub chain with multiple outlets Skills and attributes you need: *Ability to organise and lead staff *Well presented and polite *Motivated to succeed within the hospitality industry *Willingness to learn and apply that learning in the workplace *Willing to work as part of a team and lead a team *Willing to work unsociable hours and weekends Qualifications you will gain: There are a number of elements to an apprenticeship and this is called the framework. The apprenticeship framework has three main strands - technical element, competence based element and skills element. For this apprenticeship the qualifications will be:- Level 3 Award in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or Level 3 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Professional Cookery) NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or Level 3 in Professional Cookery Functional Skills at Level 2 in English and Mathematics In addition you will also study Employee Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills Assessment: You will be required to compile an online portfolio of evidence demonstrating your knowledge and competence and all assessments will take place in the workplace. An assessor will guide and support you to achieve this qualification. Is this for me? Apprenticeships are open to all age groups above 16 years of age, whether you are just leaving school, seeking to start a new career or are moving into a new role with your existing employer that requires new skills. As an apprentice you will earn a salary, whilst working alongside experienced colleagues at work and studying for your qualification.
