    You’ll learn: the latest gaming pipelines; related gaming hardware and software; programming for digital games; 3D environments and modelling; creation of materials and textures; 3D animation; sound and digital effects; storytelling; games design; latest market trends; and project management.

    Expect: a combination of software development used in the gaming and multimedia industries, with an overview of the games and computing industry.

    You’ll love: making games from scratch in our well-equipped lab using industry standard gaming hardware and software.

    BTEC Extended Diploma in Digital Creative Media

    This course provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to progress into a career in computing and/or a computing-related course in higher education. We prepare you to become a successful professional in the computing industry.

    Games Designer - Programmer - Developer

    You’ll get the opportunity to take part in a wide range of trips and visits. Recently our students have been to the Sky TV Academy in London; the Hydron Collider at Cern, Geneva; EGX, Birmingham - the UK largest computer Games exhibition; Bletchley Park and the British museum of computing.

    We also partner with local companies and organisations to give you experience of working with ‘live’ computing projects and enable you to hear from leading professionals in the world of computing.
