    The European Commission has predicted that there will be 900,000 unfilled IT vacancies in Europe by 2015, as employers struggle to find staff with the required skills. With IT job openings being created faster than trained people can be found to fill them, IT certifications like Comptia A+ are the best way to open the door to a higher salary, more opportunities and career fulfilment.

    Comptia A+ is an internationally recognised, vendor-neutral certification which proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting. Comptia A+ certification can;

    • validate your knowledge and skills
    • help you remain competitive and employable
    • give you job proficiency more quickly
    • help you to show dedication to your career
    • help you to change your career direction.

    The CompTIA A+ certification is delivered over 12 session 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm one evening per week- 12 weeks. Each session blends both practical, theory and online learning in an enjoyable and casual atmosphere.

    At the end of the course students will be given the opportunity to sit two online tests. CompTIA A+ 220-801 which covers the fundamentals of computer technology, installation and configuration of PCs, laptops and related hardware, and basic networking. CompTIA A+ 220-802 covers the skills required to install and configure PC operating systems, as well as configuring common features (e.g. network connectivity and email) for mobile operating systems Android and Apple iOS. In those tests each candidate has 90 minutes to answer a maximum 90 questions which are either multiple choice or performance-based to gain the Comp TIA A+ certification. A materials fee of £60 is levied to cover 24/7 access to the online learning and testing materials.
