This theoretical and practical one day workshop provides the opportunity for attendees to acquire insight into the added value coaching and mentoring can have for staff and an organization.
Attendees can expect to acquire knowledge relating to the definition of the terms 'coaching' and 'mentoring'; how 'coaching' and 'mentoring' is applicable within a working environment, and the extent to which this can positively impact on individual and organizational performance; managerial attributes necessary to facilitate effective 'coaching' and 'mentoring' and the link with 'Emotional Intelligence'.
The second part of this workshop will comprise of an introduction into the key underlying principles of facilitating 'coaching' and 'mentoring effectively.
This will be followed by an evaluation of a validated 'coaching' and 'mentoring' model, coupled with a brief introduction of 'mentoring' techniques.
Potential barriers relating to the 'coaching' and 'mentoring' process will also be explored and the final part of this workshop will provide attendees with knowledge pertaining to the ethical and professional framework when facilitating 'coaching' and 'mentoring'.
