AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting
This course is an ideal starting point for a school-leaver, someone returning to the workplace, or someone who has not studied for a while.
Course delivery is through a blended learning model; in addition to on line study learners must attend college for one hour every three weeks. Date and time to be agreed between tutor and students, but you will need to be flexible about timings.
The course covers five units relating to Bookkeeping Transactions, Bookkeeping Controls, Working Effectively in Finance, Elements of Costing and Using Accounting Software. For further detail refer to the AAT website http://www.aat.org.uk/.
Assessment is based on five computer-based examinations held at the college.
Our Online & On Campus approach enables students to benefit from both face-to-face teaching at Gloucestershire College and online lessons available on demand. This approach offers a truly flexible study experience. In addition to attending face-to-face classes, students will be expected to undertake between 5 and 6 hours of study each week.

Finally, there are a number of options available at GC to help you pay for your course fees:
- Setting up a Direct Debit: You’ll be asked for a 20% deposit when you enrol and this can be paid in cash, or by debit or credit card. Fees must be paid in full by the end of your course so the monthly instalments would be adjusted accordingly e.g. for a one year course you would make 8 payments
