This level 3 CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) Foundation in People Practice qualification is recognised and valued by employers.
It provides the opportunity for you to acquire a wide range of relevant practical skills and knowledge to reinforce your current or future role in HR. You will gain confidence to be more effective at work and add value to your HR function.
For those not currently working in HR it can provide a platform for a move into a new career role with a professionally recognised qualification.
Modules:
Classroom based teaching is the main teaching method, with some online activities and a requirement for independent study.
The programme runs from September to June on a Wednesday evening between 5:30 – 9pm.
Students will also be required to attend one day-time practical sessions as part of the course and may need to attend class early for one-to-one sessions once a term.
Applicants must be aged 19 and over as at 31st August of the preceding academic year. English and Math’s at GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) is essential, but no other formal qualifications are required. Students should be in employment, although you do not need to be working in HR. Access to someone responsible for HR would be highly beneficial to your studies whether or not you are working in HR yourself.

Gloucestershire College is connected to a number of businesses and throughout the year you will get the chance to see how real businesses operate. Previous work-related activities have included trips to Amazon and Sky headquarters and business planning with RBS.
