AAT Certificate in Accounting

    This course is an ideal starting point for a school-leaver, someone returning to the workplace, or someone who has not studied for a while. Learners must attend college for one four hour lesson per week.

    This course is offered on the following days:

    September Start:

    Gloucester Campus: Thursday Daytime and Thursday Evenings

    Cheltenham Campus: Friday Daytime and Wednesday Evenings

    January Start:

    Gloucester Campus: Tuesday Evenings – Subject to numbers

    Cheltenham Campus:  Thursday Daytime– Subject to numbers

    All classes are four hours duration plus 30 minute break time. Classes start at 9:30am or 5:00om (except for Tuesday daytime which starts at  12:00pm).

    The course covers five units relating to Bookkeeping Transactions, Bookkeeping Controls, Working Effectively in Finance, Elements of Costing and Using Accounting Software. For further detail refer to the AAT website http://www.aat.org.uk/.

    Assessment is based on five computer based examinations.

    In addition to attending college, students will be expected to undertake between 3 and 4 hours additional study out of college
