    We offer the following:

    GENERAL ENGLISH

    Covering all areas of English; grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking (including pronunciation) and vocabulary, the lessons are activity based with an emphasis on real-life situations and authentic use of English. You will have opportunities to practise your spoken English through discussions, role-plays and pair work.

    KEY FACTS Part time EFL

    • Key study areas: General English
    • Additional study areas (optional): Business English (subject to availability and English language level)
    • Start: Any week day during term time (except public holidays –see calendar)
    • English language levels: A1 Elementary to C1 Advanced
    • Hours per week: 1.5 up to a maximum of 14
    • Morning classes: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
    • Morning class times: 09:00-13:00 Monday to Friday (including two 15 minute breaks)

     

    • Afternoon 'Options' classes: Monday and Wednesday
    • Afternoon class times: 14:00-15:30
    • Evening classes: Thursday
    • Evening class times: 18:30-21:00
    • Class Size: Maximum 16 students per class (average 10 )
    • Minimum age 16 (daytime study) 18 (evening study)
    • Materials: Not included (additional cost of £30 per term)
    • Activities (optional): Saturday excursions not included (additional cost of £12-£15 per excursion)

     

    BUSINESS ENGLISH (same rate as General English)

     

    Our Business English course is designed for people who want to develop their skills for using English in a business environment.

    KEY FACTS Business English (subject to availability)

    • Key study areas: Business English
    • Additional study areas (optional): General English
    • Start: Any week day during term time (except public holidays)
    • English language levels: B1 Intermediate to C1 Advanced
    • Hours per Week: 3.5 to 14 (subject to availability)
    • Morning classes: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
    • Morning class times: 09:00-13:00 Monday to Friday (including two 15 minute breaks)

     

    • Class Size: Maximum 16 students per class (average 10 )           
    • Minimum age 16
    • Materials: Not included (additional cost of £5 per term) (£30 if preparing for BEC exam)
    • Activities (optional): Saturday excursions not included (additional cost of £12-£15 per excursion

     

    OPTIONAL COURSES (same rate as General English)

     

    We offer Academic English as well as preparation courses for the most important Cambridge examinations, including PET, FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS

     

    KEY FACTS Afternoon ‘Options’

    • Key study areas: General English, Cambridge exam preparation, Academic IELTS exam preparation, Academic English (all study options subject to availability)
    • Start: Any Monday or Wednesday during term time (except public holidays)
    • English language levels: A1 Elementary to C1 Advanced
    • Hours per Week: 1.5 to 3
    • Afternoon classes: Monday and Wednesday
    • Afternoon class times: 14:00-15:30
    • Class Size: Maximum 16 students per class (average 10 )
    • Minimum age 16
    • Materials: Not included (additional cost of £5 per term)
    • Activities (optional): Saturday excursions not included (additional cost of approx.. £12-£15 per excursion)
