First Choice For Those Who Think Differently

Our students study with us because we offer a unique learning experience like no other.

With a wide range of HNCs, HNDs, Foundation Degrees and Degrees at Gloucestershire College you can choose a pace of study to suit your lifestyle and career goals.

Our class sizes are generally smaller compared to university enabling 1-1 tuition, and studying in a College environment means that your lecturer is more accessible and you can use our industry-standard facilities.

Explore our courses and facilities, and find out why our students think differently and how that makes them stand out from the crowd at a November Open Evening.

University Level courses at GC

Many university courses are full-time, but at GC you have the option to study most of our HE courses on a part-time basis.

Our flexible approach means your learning can fit around existing home or work commitments, and you can live at home as our campuses are right on your doorstep.

Study HE at GC and benefit from:

  • Dedicated higher education study space
  • Industry-experienced lecturers
  • Part-time, full-time and higher apprenticeship study options
  • Technically-focused courses
  • English, maths, IT and study skills support
Thanks to the contacts of my lecturer, I gained work experience as a production assistant alongside my studies, which he allowed me the flexibility to do. The College has great facilities for the course; lots of professional film equipment and industry-standard cameras. I am now considering working freelance, using the contacts acquired through my college work experience, and I would like to move to London to progress my career in film.

Why GC?

Students choose to study at GC for a range of reasons: improved employability that comes with gaining higher-level qualifications; to facilitate progression in their current careers; or simply because they want a change of direction or to turn their passion into a career.

Whatever your motivation, we’ll make sure that you’re provided with the right environment, support and facilities to help you to achieve your goals.

University partners

GC has partnered with the University of Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS), progression routes and the chance to study closer to home.

This means that you can study University of Gloucestershire validated degrees or franchised degrees at GC, but also have access to the facilities and resources at the University.

Despite already working for a construction company, I wanted to develop my knowledge of the industry to be able to take on more responsibilities and progress as my three children grow older. I was able to take one day off a week to attend college, so this course supported my work/life balance. It covered a variety of areas and I really feel I gained a broad understanding of the construction industry.
