Typecraft are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual willing to learn all aspects of marketing, design and digital and large format print, with the potential to become a reliable marketing team member within 3 years.

Finnick Group – including Typecraft - require marketing support which the apprentice will be crucial in providing to our head of marketing (who was once our own marketing apprentice). Under the guidance of our head of marketing we want to ensure that we’re maintaining our marketing to a high and effective standard to promote each business fully.

Support will include:
• maintaining and delivering updates to company websites
• blogging
• writing content for social media and creating email campaigns

The apprentice will be essential in helping to manage our award winning social media - including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin. The role will also involve market research into each industry and identify other ways we can promote the business.

To work in all areas of Finnick Group – including Typecraft, Finnick Creative and Finnick Solutions. To gain an understanding of each individual business and be available to cover other staff for holidays when needed. This will include everything from design, print finishing, to answering phones and dealing with walk in clients.

The role is very varied so the individual needs to be proactive, use initiative and be ready for anything to be thrown at them.

Will be working within a small, tight knit team so it is essential that you are a team player and willing to help out as and where required taking on a wide range of jobs.

Not be afraid of answering the phone and speak to existing and potential clients. To follow up quotes, leads and marketing campaigns sent out to help generate more design and print business.

To be able to work under pressure and have the ability to prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met. To follow procedures and maintain the extremely high standards set by the business.


Desired skills

  • Computer literate with a knowledge of e-mails, internet and social media.
  • Must be able to read and write to a high standard
  • Knowledge of Adobe programmes – Illustrator and Photoshop – desirable but not essential.

Personal qualities

  • Good manners and smart appearance.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.


Qualifications required

GSCE Maths, ICT and English grade A* to C or equivalent.
