Head of Marketing

Gloucestershire College is advertising this role on behalf of Gloucestershire Facilities Management (GFM).

Based at the Cheltenham Campus, you will be responsible for heading up and leading the marketing team and delivering stand out multi-platform marketing campaigns (online and offline) to enhance the College’s reputation and to achieve student recruitment targets in the further education, apprenticeship, higher education and part-time student markets.

You’ll be joining the team at an exciting time, as the College commences its new three-year Strategic Plan, focusing on developing the profile of its apprenticeship and higher education provision, embarks on building a brand new state-of-the-art campus in the Forest of Dean, and further developing its work with business.

Reporting to the Executive Team, you will be a team player who works closely with academic heads of department, digital and executive teams, and communicates effectively with all stakeholders. The successful candidate will be an experienced, talented and committed manager with a flair for creativity, plus excellent strategic planning, communication and project management skills. A highly motivated self-starter, you will be comfortable managing others and getting the best out of people, having had experience of managing direct reports, of managing a substantial budget and of working with a range of external suppliers.

Director of Employer Training

Gloucestershire Facilities Management Ltd (GFM) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gloucestershire College. Gloucestershire College is advertising this role on behalf of GFM. GFM is recruiting a Director of Employer Training to join the Business Hub. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Employer Training will be responsible for growing employer income, delivering outstanding employer training programmes which have an excellent reputation, ensuring the College is first choice for all employer training activities.
Working with key stakeholders, this role is responsible for the continuous improvement, sales and development of employer training programmes across the College, within the GC Business Hub and for sub-contracted delivery and external training agencies. The position will require someone that has extensive experience of managing contracts, resources and financial budgets as well as an in depth knowledge of WBL and experience of delivering substantial apprenticeship programmes, funding and contract requirements.

Recruitment Administration Apprentice - 18 month Fixed Term Contract

Are you looking for a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and start a rewarding career working within a great team? GFM is recruiting a Recruitment Apprentice to join the HR team and support all recruitment and selection activity at the College.
In this role, you will work closely with the College’s HR team to facilitate and support the recruitment and selection process for permanent and temporary staff and the development of a flexible recruitment model to ensure business critical roles are filled swiftly. You will deal with customers face to face, on the telephone and through electronic enquiries, so if you would like to join our team you will need excellent customer service and communication skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in recruitment and alongside your employment you will also complete a Business Administration qualification which will support your future employment opportunities.

Assessor in Engineering

Gloucestershire College is advertising this role on behalf of Gloucestershire Facilities Management (GFM).

Our aim is to develop our apprentices in the workplace and we will need your help with this through your involvement with assessing their learning on site.

In this role, you will assess our apprentices’ performance and knowledge in a range of tasks, whilst supporting, training and guiding them to develop their skills and abilities.

The engineering sector is fast-moving, with new technologies, materials and processes being developed. The teaching team at GC has real industry experience and, combined with our great facilities, we want to make sure our students are ready for work.

As an Assessor in Engineering, you will work with a caseload of apprentices, guiding the them to ensure that they are able to demonstrate the required knowledge and practical skills the industry requires to assist them with future employment opportunities and careers. You'll be a consummate professional, passionate about people development and focused upon delivering a high quality service.

GC staff are experts in their subject area so if you would like to join our team it is important that your engineering knowledge is current and you hold a minimum Level 4 qualification. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who holds an assessor qualification (A1 or CAVA).

We have worked hard to build an excellent reputation and our most recent Ofsted rating was ‘good’ with ‘outstanding’ features. Our aim is to deliver an outstanding learner experience which you can help us with through assessing our students’ in the workplace.
