Programme Lead and/or Lecturer in Nursing, Health and Social Care

£20,899 - £30,948 per annum Location: Cheltenham, Gloucester, Forest of Dean Post Number: K105 Closing Date: Sunday 26 February, 2012 (at 22:00) We have exciting full or part-time opportunities available to teach on our creative and innovative Foundation Degree in Health Care Practice (currently with pathways in Adult Nursing, Dementia and Mental Health) in conjunction with the University of West of England. You will be expected to teach a range of healthcare related subjects within the Foundation Programme and also teach across a range of other health-related programmes within the Schools of Health, Care and Early Years. We also have an opportunity for a successful candidate to take responsibility for the Programme Lead. Proven clinical/education ability and experience of working with NHS Trust staff and senior managers is a requirement, as are excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Hard working, professional, committed and passionate, you will also need to display resilience in a changing educational arena. In addition you will possess a current NMC registration and be educated to at least degree-level or equivalent in a relevant health discipline. Interview date: tbc

Variable Hours Lecturer Community Courses: Holistics

We need a bank of tutors to be able to offer short courses so we need people who are flexible, have a wide range of life experiences (especially relating to building confidence and finding work), can be empathetic and give lots of encouragement to build confidence. You should have basic teacher training or be willing to undertake a PTLLS (Preparation to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) course.
